In the early 1940s, patriotic industrialist Wu Yunchi transported the most advanced chemical equipment of Shanghai Tianyuan Chemical Factory - the Allen-Moore electrolytic cell - across the bombed-out blockade line and moved it to Chongqing before relocating it to Yibin to establish Tianyuan Yibin Electrochemical Factory. This marked the first deep integration of modern industry with the traditional agricultural and handicraft industries of Yibin. This action, along with the simultaneous relocation of universities such as Tongji University to Lijiang, jointly formed a strategic fulcrum for industrial salvation and educational rejuvenation during the war.

Injecting new vitality into socialist construction
In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Tianyuan began its journey through public-private partnership, emerging anew amidst the wave of socialist industrialization. Along with the third-line construction movement, hundreds of technical experts from places like Tianjin and Shanghai made their way upstream along the river to Tianyuan. They brought new ideas, new technologies, and new equipment, integrating with Tianyuan and establishing the first domestically-produced polyvinyl chloride plant. This breakthrough in the technology of hydrigenous hydrazine allowed it to overcome international blockades. Moreover, they also established the first production line of anionic and cationic resin, filling the strategic gap in the country's national defense. This was the second time that Tianyuan merged its bloodline with the era of socialist construction.

After the reform and opening up, China's economy and manufacturing industry entered a period of rapid development. Located in the southwest, Tianyuan, with its bold and pioneering spirit, independently created and implemented the overall reformation of state-owned enterprises and promoted the implementation of a meticulous management model. In the tide of the market economy, it surmounted numerous obstacles and waves, becoming the largest chlor-alkali chemical enterprise in the southwest. From 2001 to 2006, Yibin Tianyuan, through turning losses into profits, independent innovation, circular economy, and attracting talents for development, made four appearances on CCTV's "News Broadcast". Each breakthrough was a synchronous resonance between Tianyuan and the pulse of the reform and opening-up era. This was the third deep integration between Tianyuan and the times.

Entering the new century, Tianyuan has progressed from "snowball" accumulation to leveraging the capital market, reconfiguring its development logic with innovative thinking, and initiating a new chapter of leapfrog development through "capital + innovation". In 2007, Tianyuan introduced strategic investors such as Zhejiang Rongsheng and Guangdong Demi, injecting 1.05 billion yuan; in April 2010, Tianyuan successfully listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. Under the guidance of the "dual carbon" strategy, Yibin is undergoing a magnificent transformation from "one white and one black" to "one blue and one green", and a trillion-dollar battery power industry cluster is rising rapidly. Tianyuan seized the opportunity and embarked on a new journey of second entrepreneurship with the "one core and two wings" strategy. It has now built facilities for the production of 100,000 tons of chlorination titanium dioxide, 75,000 tons of ternary cathode materials, and 100,000 tons of lithium iron phosphate, achieving a leapfrog transformation from traditional chlor-alkali chemical industry to new energy and new material industries. It resonates with the development of Yibin's industry, and this is the sixth integration and deep integration of Tianyuan with the times in the transformation of the dual carbon economy.
